1:43.5 Rail Vehicles
Our 3D printed rail vehicles are of prototypes that are at home on many docks, industrial and branch line operations.
5'6" Plate Frame Bogie
These 1:43.5 standard gauge bogies are of a common design on many UK mainline and industrial vehicles. The 5'6" Plate Frame Bogie was common from the 1920 to 1950s for use on heavy bogie wagons that ran at lower speeds. Two pairs of bogies are provided, printed in Photo-reactive resin and designed to accept Slater's 2'8 1/2" (7129 or 7130) wheels & bearings (wheels and bearings not provided).£12.0040Ton Bogie Tanker
Scaled at 1:43.5 (7mm/ 1 Foot), this kit is ideal for modellers looking to represent chemical and oil traffics to their 0 gauge model railways of the 1930s to 1970s. When it comes to large bogie wagons things often get out of hand with vehicles rapidly filling siding space. At only 31 ft long this bogie tank wagon represents a happy compromise, adding variety to a tank fleet without dominating a small layout. These bogie tankers were introduced in the early 1930s and operated by a number of industrial concerns until the early 1970s. In common with other tank vehicles the 31' tankers tended to be operated in dedicated rakes, either within other tank trains or ordinary freight trains. The operation of single vehicles was not unknown with shunting in yards or movement to customer sidings often being one tanker at a time. Fully CAD designed and 3D printed, the kit requires Slater’s 3’1” 3 Hole Disc (7122) wheelsets and Parkside/Peco Couplings (PS50) to complete it.£80.0075Ton Bogie Flat Wagon (Brinsworth Flat)
Scaled at 1:43.5 for 32mm (Finescale) 0 gauge this kit represents a 75Ton bogie flat wagon that was built by BRCW in the early 1950s wagons of this type were used at the United Steel Company’s (later British Steel) plants at Templeborough and Brinsworth to move steel billets. Similar vehicles were found at other steelworks throughout the UK. Some wagons were converted to transport coils of steel rod through the fitting of support blocks along the length of the wagon deck. This 3D printed kit consists of a single piece chassis, single piece body, screw assembled bogies and chassis detailing parts that can be fitted using epoxy adhesive, a simple entry level kit for modellers new to 0 gauge. The kit requires requires Slaters 7130 2’ 8½ “ (Lowmac) wheels and Parkside PS50 3 Link Couplings to complete. The standard kit comes with a flat deck and end stanchions, on completing your order please email us if you require the kit with longitudinal supports for the coil carrying wagon.£45.00
