AEC Mammoth Minor Tractor Kit
Scaled at 1:43.5 (7mm/ 1 Foot), this kit is ideal for modellers looking to add a heavyweight articulated tractor to their road dioramas and 0 gauge model railways of the 1960s and 1970s. The kit represents an AEC Mammoth Minor articulated tractor, a 32 ton GTW vehicle introduced in 1965. The Mammoth Minor chassis was derived from the Mammoth Major by shortening the chassis and deleting one powered axle from the Mammoth Major design. The Mammoth Minor had a short production life, being phased out in the mid 1970s as a result of limited demand for such a high capacity 3 axle tractor when compared to improved 2 axle designs then being offered by competitors. The Mammoth Minor tractor was often to be found hauling bulk tank and tipper trailers, typical of heavy industry in the UK. All parts (apart from cab glazing) are designed on 3D CAD and are 3D printed.£48.00Leyland Octopus Tipper Kit
As 0 Gauge modellers we appreciate the difficulty in finding suitable vehicles to park on a 1950s-1990s layout, veteran Dinky and Corgi toys are not always to scale and modern limited editions don’t feature many British vehicles. To this end we decided to take the plunge and find a lorry that could be shiny and new alongside steam locomotives or, subject to your weathering and wishes, lurking tired and dishevelled around sectorisation liveried diesels. The kit represents a short wheelbase, tipper version of the 1964 revision of the Leyland Octopus with the Mk1 version of the Ergomatic cab. The tipper body represents a typical 1960s general purpose tipper that would be found hauling bulk mineral, coal and (when sheeted) agricultural loads. Two companion kits are available; AT00322 represents the final 1975 version of the Leyland Octopus and AT00323 represents an AEC Mammoth Major of the late 1960s. All parts (apart from cab glazing) are designed on 3D CAD and are 3D printed.£65.00More variants availableLeyland Bison (68) Mixer Chassis
For 1:43.5 modellers wishing to represent scenes from the late 1960s to mid-1980s this detailed 3D printed kit of a Leyland Bison chassis is an ideal basis for modellers wishing to produce a typical large cement mixer of the period. The chassis mixer chassis features a detailed resin printed cab and FDM printed chassis. Both the 1968 launch version and the later 1977 revision of the Leyland Bison can be specified, with alternative kits AT00355 and AT00356 being available. Suitable cement mixer barrels and machine frame (not provided) can be obtained by dismantling diecast donor vehicles from Altaya and other 1:43.5 ranges.£45.00More variants availableSeddon 16/4 Tractor Kit
The kit represents an articulated tractor variant of the Seddon 16/4, a 26 ton GLW vehicle introduced in 1965. The Seddon 16/4 range was popular with smaller companies and was a competitor to the Ford D and Bedford TK types. As an articulated tractor the Seddon 16/4 typically worked with short single axle trailers, our 24’ trailer is an example of this type. The 16/4 remained in production into the early 1970s with some vehicles operating until the mid 1980s. All parts (apart from cab glazing) are designed on 3D CAD and are 3D printed.£45.00Dodge 500 Tipper Kit
For 1:43.5 modellers wishing to represent scenes from the late 1960s to mid-1980s this detailed 3D printed kit of a Dodge 500 Tipper is ideal for a smaller lorry. The tipper is a general purpose/dump truck style vehicle, with a horizontally split rear door as typically used by aggregate operators and road surfacing contractors but also popular with agricultural hauliers when moving root crops. The detailed resin printed cab features separately fitted windscreen wipers and indicators (as appropriate to the cab) and a detailed cab interior. The FDM printed chassis is designed to be easily assembled. The FDM printed tipper body can readily be modified to suit a sheeted load or have details added to convert it into a road dressing tipper. Full instructions are provided for the kit including assembly and glazing drawings.£48.00Scammell Trunker Chassis Kit
Scaled at 1:43.5 (7mm/ 1 Foot), this chassis kit is available for modellers producing their own road vehicles. Introduced in 1962 with the other ‘Michelotti’ cabbed chassis the Scammell Trunker was a heavy duty 3 axle tractor chassis that was used for extensively used by oil companies. In various forms the Scammell Trunker was to remain in production into the mid-1970s. The chassis kit represents a 10’ wheelbase vehicle and is suitable for use with both the Trunker 2 and 3 cabs that are available separately. The chassis kit is designed on 3D Cad and is entirely printed in photo-reactive resin. The kit includes detailed mudguards and fuel and air tanks that are unique to the Trunker design. Scaled at 1:43.5 (7mm/ 1 Foot), this kit is ideal for modellers looking to add an articulated tractor to their road dioramas and 0 gauge model railways of the 1960s and 1970s. As a companion to our Leyland Ergomatic vehicles, this kit represents the Leyland Beaver articulated tractor, a 30 ton GLW vehicle introduced in 1964. The Leyland Beaver was available with a variety of engines and the, then novel, ‘two pedal’ semi-automatic version. In the UK changing regulations eventually allowed the Beaver to work with trailers up to 30’ long, though shorter trailers like our 24’ trailer remained common. All parts (apart from cab glazing) are designed on 3D CAD and are 3D printed.£40.00More variants availableLeyland Retreiver/Hippo Chassis
Scaled at 1:43.5 (7mm/ 1 Foot), this chassis kit is available for modellers producing their own road vehicles. Introduced in the mid-1960s the Leyland Retreiver 6x4 11’ WB chassis was popular for heavy tipper. cement mixer and other construction applications. As the Leyland Hippo, the chassis was used as an articulated tractor. With changes to both the cab design and engines the chassis was to remain in production into the early 1970s. The chassis kit is designed on 3D Cad and is printed on an FDM printer in PLA. The kit is designed so that the fuel tank and optional equipment box, air tanks and spare wheel can be fitted on either side. A fifth wheel and trailer guide is provided for tractor versions. For modellers sourcing alternate bodies from diecast vehicles, the maximum body size is 105mm long x 55mm wide.£15.00Leyland Lynx (68) Flatbed
For 1:43.5 modellers wishing to represent scenes from the late 1960s to mid-1980s this detailed 3D printed kit of a Leyland Lynx Flatbed is ideal to represent road traffic. In common with other vehicles introduced in 1968 the Buffalo used the Leyland 500 engine which proved to have reliability problems causing operators to purchase vehicles from other UK manufacturers like ERF or Scammell who all offered alternative engines or to switch away from UK manufacturers entirely. After revisions to the Buffalo design in 1975, notably to offer alternative engines, the design remained in production until 1980 when it was replaced by the T45 series. The Buffalo, along with the Marathon, represents the end of the production of the Ergomatic cab design.
