24' Articulated Tanker Trailer

Scaled at 1:43.5 (7mm/ 1 Foot), this kit is ideal for modellers looking to add an articulated trailer to their road dioramas and 0 gauge model railways of the 1960s to 1980s.

This kit represents a 24’ articulated tanker trailer as built in the mid-1960s. Such trailers were typical used by in the oil, agri-chemical and food industries. The tanker trailer is the ideal companion to long wheel base/heavy articulated tractors such as the AEC Mandator, AEC Mammoth Minor, Scammell Trunker or Leyland Marathon. The kit includes alternate support legs so that the trailer can be posed without a tractor attached.

The FDM printed parts in the kit are designed to be assembled on to a cut length of 40mm diameter pipe (not provided in the kit), available from most DIY outlets. Instructions are provided to build a 24’ long trailer; alternative length trailers can be produced with examples for 20’, 28’ and 30’ trailers given in the instructions.
