AEC Mammoth Major 6 Chassis

Scaled at 1:43.5 (7mm/ 1 Foot), this chassis kit is available for modellers producing their own road vehicles.

Introduced in the mid-1960s the AEC Mammoth Major 6 11’ WB 6x4 chassis was used in heavy tipper and other construction applications. The Mammoth Major 6 could also be specified as heavy duty articulated tractor. With changes to both the cab design and engines the chassis was to remain in production into the early 1970s.

The chassis kit is designed on 3D Cad and is printed on an FDM printer in PLA. The kit is designed so that the fuel tank and optional equipment box, air tanks and spare wheel can be fitted on either side. A fifth wheel and trailer guide is provided for tractor versions. For modellers sourcing alternate bodies from diecast vehicles, the maximum body size is 105mm long x 55mm wide.
