The kit represents an AEC Mammoth Minor articulated tractor, a 32 ton GTW vehicle introduced in 1965. The Mammoth Minor chassis was derived from the Mammoth Major by shortening the chassis and deleting one powered axle from the Mammoth Major design. The Mammoth Minor had a short production life, being phased out in the mid 1970s as a result of limited demand for such a high capacity 3 axle tractor when compared to improved 2 axle designs then being offered by competitors. The Mammoth Minor tractor was often to be found hauling bulk tank and tipper trailers, typical of heavy industry in the UK.
All parts (apart from cab glazing) are designed on 3D CAD and are 3D printed.
