Commer FC/PB Van Kit

This 1:43.5 scale kit features a highly detailed, single piece, resin printed body and simple to assemble chassis/interior.

Introduced in 1960 and in production until 1974, when it was upgraded to the ‘SpaceVan’, the Commer FC/PB was a light van (featuring a car derived chassis) built by the Rootes Group.

The Rootes Group offering , inferior in almost every way to its’ competitors from Ford and Bedford, was nonetheless purchased in large numbers by the Post Office, Post Office Telephones and British Rail. Whilst not as ubiquitous as Bedford or BMC vans of the period the Commer van was typical of vehicles used by small builders, electricians and electrical retailers.

In various forms and many levels of decay the Commer FC/PB remained a common sight on many streets until the late 1980s.
