Motor Panels - A Cab for All
In 1964 it wasn't just Leyland Motors producing a standard cab; the body builder and pressings company Motor Panels had developed a good reputation for producing bespoke designs for individual truck manufacturers so designing a standard cab for a range of manufacturers seemed to be a win-win. Seddon Diesel went ahead with the Motor Panels Type 1 across the 13/4, 16/4 and 32/4 ranges and Guy Motors launched the Guy Big J range using the same cab. With Scammell adopting a variant of the Type 3 Cab for the Crusader range the Motor Panels cab was to remain in production well into the 1980s.
