AEC Mammoth Major Tanker Kit

Scaled at 1:43.5 (7mm/ 1 Foot), this kit is ideal for modellers looking to add a tanker lorry to their road dioramas and 0 gauge model railways of the 1960s and 1970s.

The kit represents a short wheelbase, tanker version of the 1964 revision of the AEC Mammoth Major. The tanker represents a typical late 1960s and 1970s oil tanker as used by major oil companies for local deliveries (much long distance oil traffic the UK at the time was still moved by Rail or Coastal shipping). Similar vehicles were also found in use on other bulk liquids traffic, often using second-hand vehicles into the early 1980s.

Two versions of this kit are produced, with either the 1964 or 1968 revisions of the AEC Ergomatic Cab.
