Clamshell Bucket 3/4 Cubic Yard (Open)

Scaled at 1:43.5 this kit represents a small Clamshell Bucket and is an ideal for fitting to the Dinky Toys 971 Coles Argus and Dinky 972 Coles Ranger. Crane shown in pictures (not included).

Crane mounted buckets of this type were used to load and unload loose materials in many factories, goods yards and docks from the 1890s to 1980s.

The kit is produced as single print with the bucket in the open position; full instructions are provided as to how to rig the bucket. As an alternative to mounting on to a model crane the bucket assembly can be used as a load on road or rail vehicle or posed on your model dockyard or factory.

Two alternative versions are also available; a single piece print of the Clamshell Bucket in the closed position and a self assembly kit that allows modellers to pose the Clamshell Bucket in a fully lowered position as favoured by dockyard railways when transporting buckets.
